Medical malpractice often involves fatal birth injuries

When a mother enters labor and delivery at an Arizona hospital, it's typically an exciting and joyful experience, even though she might face several challenges in the process of birthing her child. When a couple is expecting to welcome their baby into the world and instead faces one of the greatest tragedies of their lives, there's no telling how they will be able to overcome their devastation and go on in life. When a fatal birth injury occurs, medical malpractice is often to blame.

A couple in another state know full well what it's like to lose a child at birth. In fact, they should have two living children at this time; however, they only have one -- a 3-year-old son. Their other child, also a boy, would be entering kindergarten this year had he lived. Sadly, he suffered an injury during birth and died.

The now deceased child's mother and father say they try to do something to commemorate their son's very short life each year on his birthday. This year, they also decided to do something special on the first day of school to honor their son's memory. They purchased school supplies and toted them in a red wagon to the school their child would have attended. When they arrived, they donated the supplies to the school.

These parents have obviously tried very hard to bring something positive out of a tragic situation. Arizona parents facing similar tragedies due to birth injuries or other medical malpractice issues may also want to consider filing legal claims on behalf of their son or daughter. Seeking justice in an unjust situation may not only be therapeutic, it can lead to compensation for damages that can help alleviate the financial burdens associated with a particular incident.
